Good combination of insulation layer, durable aluminum coating and adhesive layer It's not easy to get the clear backing to peel off to reveal the adhesive, but that's typical. It *sticks* firmly to the first object it touches. This is ultimately a good thing, but requires careful management. The best thing is to figure out how you're going to attach it before removing the backing. I then made a convertible using tape - one piece parallel to the edge to be stretched and two long pieces of tape twisted so none of the sticky sides were sticking out. Secure the end of these pieces under the parallel edge - then you can use the loop pieces to pull the backing off, even around things like gearing. You should have the edge ready and hold it until it's a little tacky but works fine. I also recommend having a small piece of trim wood to attach the foil to in places you can't reach by hand (e.g. if you're installing this with the gearbox mounted like I did). Also recommend buying DEI tape for the edges.
