Fhi irons don't last long. I had the Platform Plus for 8 months and it stopped heating. The light will be on, but there will be no heating. I have curly hair and I straighten it maybe 5 times a year and it stays at home. So it had no signs of wear and tear that it stopped working so quickly. Other than that, I love this flat iron because it really helps my hair. It does not let moisture through, adds shine and retains moisture. I can wear my hair straight for two weeks without having to straighten it again. I only have to iron once.
