. this might disappoint you. TL; DR: All but a select few channels (usually local HD) work fine, but no better than my old Hauppage tuner. Stuttering ranges from observable to impossible. This works for all low quality channels and some high quality channels. But something at HD level or higher you might run into problems. I checked hard drive speed, cable signal, processor, memory, graphics card performance and PVR software. and it looks like the bottleneck is the tuner, which can't handle the high bandwidth. He stutters, which ranges from observable to unobservable. After a lot of searching and troubleshooting, I couldn't get the same quality as a very old Hauppage model, the HVR-1200. The quality was actually worse.
