I noticed several reviews are stating these bookmarks won’t glow in the dark. Some that do glow have already been exposed to more light than others (or the glow in the dark resin powder that’s been added to the resin has). That’s why some glow right away, and buyers have to do nothing when item arrives except enjoy the glow (in the dark, of course). Others haven’t been "charged” yet and therefore must be set in the presence of bright light (preferably sunlight) for about 15-20 minutes in order for it to begin to glow. It basically uses solar energy to illuminate. NOTE OF CAUTION: If you Do set it in direct sunlight or even place it close to a bright bulb for any length of time, use caution when you first pick up or handle the bookmark because it could be hot to the touch and possibly burn you since the object is metal. After the item is initially charged, it generally doesn’t take as much time to recharge unless it has been a long while since it has been exposed to bright light. If it still won’t glow in the dark after it’s been charged, then it’s possible the resin that coats your bookmark doesn’t contain a sufficient amount of glow in the dark resin powder.
