I have ridden about 250 miles on single-track, rocky, rooty trails with the pedals. They still spin like new and hold the shoes clip in place like new. They are easy to clip in and out of, particularly on hills and tough terrain when you may have to unclip and clip by in. I would buy them again. My only complaint is that if you pull up with your leg too vigorously, your shoe will likely release from the pedal. I like the product for the stability of keeping my shoes on the pedals, but wish that it were better at holding a shoe in the vertical direction.
