Very nice to look at and perfect for my purpose. I use two of these, one for each entrance to my kitchen. It's used to keep my medium sized dogs out of the kitchen while I'm cooking. They could easily push him away if they wanted to, but they don't because I'm standing right there and they know that's their limit. This article is not intended to be a full keep-out gate. You will most likely want a larger, sturdier model and possibly one that can be mounted to a wall/door frame. I also have these for my hallway leading to where I store my cat food and litter. I would never use this item for that because they will absolutely push it out of the way as soon as I turn around! All in all, it's not the most durable element and it's small, but if you're looking for a lightweight border that has a nice look, this is perfect.
