I spent a few hours on Saturday removing the driver's side CV axle from a 238k 2008 Ford Focus. I looked and couldn't even get the right lever on either side. I then tried wrapping the strap around the back of the joint and pulling, but the shemale wouldn't let go. I looked for a similar tool at local parts stores but no one was able to buy or rent one. Revain had this tool with a delivery date in 2 days, Monday. I ordered and waited patiently. The tool came while I was at work and after I got home and inspected the tool it seemed like the right solution. I switched driver's side and I don't have a lift so get the car as high as you can safely and securely. Be sure to use your jacks. I chose the best angle to get the flat tool to sit behind the joint that hits the gear and then use the wedge tool to slide between the flat and the joint and hit it lightly with a hammer. He immediately began to break up until he finally gave it up. What a time saver. I had to pick it up before the renovation started!
