This chair is perfect for my needs. I have a very narrow old tub and I recently tore a meniscus which made it e.g. B. made it difficult to stand for long periods of time to take a shower. I needed to find a chair that could support 500 pounds and was narrow. This chair was a blessing. Not only does it support my large body, but I feel safe and relaxed in the shower instead of sitting still like a statue waiting for him to bend over. I can carry weight, move my legs and still feel comfortable in a chair. My only limitation is that I wouldn't sit on it and shift all my weight to one side or the other for any length of time. I would guess it would be a post fashion buckle. But after the shower I sit crookedly on it (one stayed over the bathtub) and dry myself with a towel. I do this simply because the tub is narrow. Can't talk about picking it up, my husband did and said it was fine. Too bad I didn't get it a month ago. Since I've been using it, my knee doesn't hurt that much. Costs money.
