On the positive side, this spanner is identical to the series device except for the casting number. The problem is that it's made of soft metal and if you don't tighten the tension with a hex socket, it rounds out the bolt you use to load and unload the tensioner. Very annoying. The problem lies in the design of the tensioner and the way it is installed. Part of the blame lies with Honda as I don't understand why they didn't keep the downtime they had for their pilots through 2009. Again - important - to install this tensioner you must use a hex head and make sure it is perpendicular to the bolt. Removing and installing the belt requires significant torque. I had a 3 foot breaker and it was still difficult. I rounded off the top and bottom screws when trying to reinstall them. I ended up removing the casters from this unit and installed them on the standard unit and mounted with a 6 point socket.
