Fits right and works well

Fits right and works properly. I was concerned about an aftermarket order due to numerous complaints of faulty mounting hardware/main bolt failure. Went to AC DELCO because of the reputation. Everything is fine (1) month. ***Update*** It's been 6 months and no problems.

The item pictured is NOT the item you will receive and will not fit. A small compression piston, as in the photo, will do, but the one sent has no relief and interferes. See picture for comparison with each other. To assemble it I had to reuse the old piston.

Not as shown and does not fit Pilot

Despite another review of the product delivered, which does not match the one shown, I ordered anyway, thinking that all the problems would be solved. That's not the case. There is a photo from one of the reviewers and the stretcher I ordered and received in December 2018 is exactly the same as the one on the right in this photo. It does not have a cutout on the hydraulic spring plastic cover, so it will not fit the 2009-2011 Pilot. It may also fit other models, but due to the layout, there is…

Maybe the design - maybe it was me - but it failed to install.

On the positive side, this spanner is identical to the series device except for the casting number. The problem is that it's made of soft metal and if you don't tighten the tension with a hex socket, it rounds out the bolt you use to load and unload the tensioner. Very annoying. The problem lies in the design of the tensioner and the way it is installed. Part of the blame lies with Honda as I don't understand why they didn't keep the downtime they had for their pilots through 2009. Again…

Although the tensioner damper is different, it rarely clears and works well. 2010 Honda Odyssey

When I first looked at the original part fitted there was a step on top of the tensioner damper designed to fit around the lip of the timing cover. At first glance it looks like a replacement Delco AC block will interfere with the timing case cover and will not fit. But I was like, heck, I've got a car in the air, I'll put it in and see what happens. Think IT WILL WORK!
