"My car is making strange noises " "Turn on the radio "

Unfortunately, the loud radio only works until the music inevitably stops and advertising is playing. Our R50 Pathfinder's original fan motor sang a siren song, signaling it was time for a replacement. After disassembly, the old part was covered in dirt and black dust, although I changed the cabin filter quite well. It turned out that the black dust was most likely motor brush debris, not the atmosphere. Not wanting to break the riveted plastic and try to find replacement brushes, I decided to just replace the whole thing. Much easier and faster, and driving down south without air conditioning is a recipe for disaster. After 8 months I haven't heard any of the noises that other users have reported and our fan runs on medium almost constantly when we're driving. back in the car. The hardest part about installing on the R50 Pathfinder is keeping track of all the different screws you have to remove from the dash to gain access. With everything connected and working, there are no problems, just boredom. Generally work for a beer.

Pros
  • Fan motor
Cons
  • Not everything fits
