Provides an artificial drain for my 2015 aluminum body F-150. I drilled holes in the roof and drilled the threads on a special machine. The work was carried out at a local body shop. It's important to hire a body shop as they will know where to drill to get into the supports. Local Ford dealers most (if not all) don't do these types of repairs and don't know exactly where the props are located. The body shop made 2 threaded holes on each side with the required spacing for the artificial gutter. I purchased a 1/4" thick aluminum bar from my local Lowes holes to do the job. I then installed the gutters using the rubber pad provided and a bar underneath to achieve the desired height. I used stainless steel hex head screws used with a lock washer to secure it to the roof after applying silicone between the roof and the pole. To the faux gutter I then attached the Track Rack roof rack. Several people asked where I got the racks from. . the faux gutter and Thule threaded inserts made roof racks possible, they work great and I can carry pretty much anything I can.
