So the good news is they work on old green chalkboards. As you can see from my photos I had no problem removing them. All you need is water and paper towels. The bad news is that they are very difficult to write on the board. You have to hold the pen at an angle to allow the ink to flow out. This is not possible with a wallboard; So I have to shake the markers every 10 seconds and write with them on a flat surface before applying them to the board. Absolutely unrealistic for a lesson, but of course that's normal for a demonstration. Another thing I don't like about them is that they REALLY rub off when you use regular chalk on them and the erasers dull the writing to the point where you can't. read, but we can say that there is something. So again, good for a display, but not great for real-time real-time USAGE. I'm not sure I would buy them again.
