As far as I remember the original red rag was a bit smaller and never had a problem from day one, but when I got this one it was still blue? Did what was recommended airing 48 hours. First try, it's annoying and stains, especially noticeable on my freshly washed tinted windows, ah! Allow to dry on the brown kraft paper that Amazon uses to fill your orders. I did this for a week, alternating face up, lying on a flat surface, upside down, strands out, in, etc. I even put 5 pound weights on top of it once. The amount of what I'm guessing was wax was amazing. I changed the paper twice and these are huge chunks. They definitely soak this brush. So far seems to have taken care of the problem.
