When I found out my alarm clocks had expired I went to Revain to get new ones! This alarm had good reviews and matched the look I wanted for my home. I particularly like the use of the red LED indicator circle. I am very impressed with the quality of these devices - much more than I expected for the price. I was concerned about the battery compartment as it's always difficult to open and remove the batteries without taking a look. They don't have a door, which was a pleasant surprise. The battery is simply connected to short cables. I was also happy that they are smaller than my previous ones. Safety is of course more important than aesthetics, but they look so much better in living spaces! The only problem was that since they were smaller I had to strategically place them in place of the old ones to avoid leaving a discolored circle on the ceiling or a hole in the ceiling. In the end I kept the previous base plate of the smoke detector and screwed the new base plate onto the old one. This created a nice transition to the ceiling. #Trick. Very impressed with these smoke detectors.
