So many Fastcap products are top notch that I bought this scope without realizing it, thinking it would be easier and safer to use as alternatives. Unfortunately the opposite is the case. It takes a lot of practice to use this product properly, and you're just as likely to damage the end result as if you were to use other flush trimming products - such as B. a utility knife or a flush cutter on your router. Perhaps the biggest disadvantage is the assumption that the grain direction will be constant. I didn't use much edging tape, but the material I used doesn't care about grain direction. So if you are not careful, using this product will damage the edge and ruin the final product. So if you've never edged before and don't have an alternative to edging yet, by all means give it a try if you have the money to burn. But I suspect you're much better off with a flush cutter and a palm router if you've got a ton of edging tape, or a couple dollar shop knives if you've got a small project.
