So I got this for my Galaxy Z Fold 3. My other auto clip wireless charger was too wide for my phone when closed (Z Fold is small when unfolded). My phone kept falling out of other car mounts. As for the suction power, wow this thing is great. Almost too hard to pull off lol. I think if you took care of the suction cup (I keep the little plastic sheet that comes with it when not actively attached) it would be a great suction cup. I attached it to a metal bracket to increase suction. Firmness seems good, there is very little play when attached to a metal support, there is very little play during movement. Other mounts have vibrations that make it difficult to read the time on my phone, it's much smoother and not as harsh when driving. However, it doesn't have a large range of adjustment, so I think it's a compromise, more solidity, no movement. Value for money, it's more expensive than many other auto clip phone mounts, I think it's worth it. this however. This allows you to mount your phone horizontally, which is very handy when using GPS on your phone. Or as for me, I have a work truck and get a lot of downtime, so I browse netlflix when I'm bored =) My only concern is the actual length of the mount. It's very long and uncomfortable with very little adjustment. I actually replaced the mounting system with my old phone mount because I liked the freedom of movement much better. So if you are planning to work in a tight space, plan on using an old mount or buying a new one as it is not easy to do.
