I've been doing custom woodworking (heirloom quality) for over 30 years when I bought a new 4 1/2" sander to also use as a sander wanted a very good backing pad - this metabo is the ticket when I'm using a quick stock removal disc (36 grit) or buffing a curve with a face buffing pad - this backing pad works great - use my 30+ year mistakes so you don't repeat it Don't get these right away - if you love what you do it's not a job - it's a stress reliever, thanks Revane and everyone who takes the time to review products, good or bad
