Outstanding value for money compared to Hella

I bought this item because I thought I would buy a very similar looking Hella horn. My son has Hella horns on his Mazda 3 and had to replace and upgrade a blown horn on my 91 Miata. Bonus. I ended up installing one of these in a regular location and the second in the engine bay next to the windshield washer reservoir. Since it doesn't come with a wire harness, I made my own using 16ga wire and crimped connectors. It should be noted that these horns have + and - terminals and are not grounded via the mounting screw so little additional wiring is required. Compared to Hella horns which cost a little more than double. , they gave me a similar volume, maybe a little less loud and a little less sharp sound. But that's because Hella's horns are exceptionally sharp and loud. I think it gives loud enough noise for the money in my opinion, comparable to the upper limit of volume found on OEM horns in my opinion, and way louder than the Roadrunner, like a Miata factory horn meep- meep money they are amazing deals. If you want even louder, double the price and buy Hella. If, like me, you find them loud enough, save the $20 or so difference in price and buy them.

Pros
  • ● LOUD - Powerful double Supertone horns increase driving safety with 118 dB(A) sound power. The sound image is most effective when selected with a high and a low tone.
Cons
