Review on ๐Ÿฑ Premium Small Cat Collars: Adjustable Kitten Collar with Bell - 12 Pack by Todd Roberts

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Definitely not tear off or kitten size as stated in the listing description.

What I liked: Bright colors available and pet-friendly design. Available price for 12 collars for $11.99 as of 11/05/2020. What I didn't like is: 1. Too big for kittens. My kittens are 4 months old and definitely too big/long, 13 inches long at the longest and 8 inches at the shortest. You don't need a big collar for a cat because cats like to squeeze into tight spaces, climb, play pranks, and their collar can easily get caught on something like a fence or tree branches, and the kitten can easily become entangled, resulting in choking as they are not strong enough to break free, which is very dangerous, especially when your cat goes outside.2. The buckle is NOT removable! I tried my best to rip it open and it won't give way or break because it's NOT a tear-off buckle, it's a secure buckle! It's unsafe for cats.3. The collar is so long (about 13 inches at its longest point) that when you adjust it to its shortest length (about 8 inches at its shortest point) it leaves a double collar layer without the two layers being held together. The result is extra loose material for your cat to hold on to. Other cat collars usually come with a loop to hold two overlapping collar materials (nylon, etc.) together. My kittens' necks aren't as big as their mothers, so most of the time you trim them and need this loop (usually rectangular) to hold them together. Watch straps also have this feature to prevent your strap from dangling outwards. These collars are made in China and I am sure they do not test their products for safety or design with safety in mind. Any manufacturer or designer who actually keeps cats or cares about their safety will easily see these safety issues with this collar. So many cons of this product.5. There is a warning on the manufacturer's label that this product may expose you to lead. Why would you want your beloved pet, yourself and your family to carry such hazardous materials on a daily basis? Please note this. I was actually very happy to receive these collars but upon further investigation they just aren't safe for my furry little ones.
