Shampoo removes color very effectively! I applied a semi permanent mauve to my blonde and wanted it to wash out quickly without using bleach. I want to say that this product did a good job on my hair, but it was REALLY harsh and my hair felt like straw. However, this is a clarifying shampoo that is not actually intended for care. My suggestion would be to really condition your hair after using it! All in all the shampoo did its job, I think I'll get the color out in about 3 washes! I will definitely use it again for the same purpose, but I probably won't use it regularly.
