Shampoo removes color very effectively! I applied a semi permanent mauve to my blonde and wanted it to wash out quickly without using bleach. I want to say that this product did a good job on my hair, but it was REALLY harsh and my hair felt like straw. However, this is a clarifying shampoo that is not actually intended for care. It's been hard going from squeaky sulfate hair to healthier sulfate-free hair, but having recently gone blonde I don't have much of a choice if I want to keep my color. This shampoo is exactly what I was looking for! It foams up nicely (use lots of water though!) and although it takes longer to rinse out, my hair feels VERY clean afterwards. 10/10, I will buy again.
