I have an older Benq LCD projector that I use to give professional seminars and demonstrate classes for schools and churches. It's a great projector, but it works with an old monitor cable; It doesn't have an HDMI port, but I have a new laptop that doesn't support the old monitor cable. I didn't want to buy another projector because I think my projector is one of the best ever made. So, to solve this problem, I bought an HDMI to VGA video converter/adapter. When I first used it, my projector gave me an error message; However, after searching the internet for a remedy, I found that all I had to do was lower the resolution on my computer for it to work properly. Changing the resolution worked and now I don't have to hunt for an old laptop to get my projector working. The cable converter/adapter did the job!
