USB "C " is not only for Android! Mac owners, read on.

I had to buy a 2017 iMac to HDMI monitor adapter. Actually, I was looking for a USB-A (Large Flat) port because I knew I had that port on the back of my iMac. But for some reason I bought this cable thinking that the picture shows a wider USB plug. Don't ask why I didn't pay attention to the description of USB-C. Maybe I thought it was protocol. No, it will be USB 2.0 and USB 3.0. When the cable arrived the next day I was upset to see it wasn't a wide USB connector and resigned myself to sending it back at my own expense. Since this iMac is from my wife's office, I don't know much about its connections. I went back to Revain to find the "right" cable. As I read more about USB-C and Mac connections, I saw that the Thunderbolt connection is also referred to as USB-C. Will this cable, which I thought was an Android USB-C cable, fit in my machine? I grabbed the cable and plugged it into the little Thunderbolt port on the back of the iMac, and yay! He comes! I haven't had a chance to fully connect the monitor, but I hope all goes well. I read where on HDMI, if there is a picture, then it really doesn't matter what the cable is made of. This may be true as some color frequencies may be lost? But it's a digital signal, tic-tac-toe, yes or no, whatever. So excited as I take care of the little things! By the way, JVJ, the supplier, offers a "free gift" if you submit positive or negative feedback and follow the instructions to request a gift.
