I bought this connector for my 2014 Chevy Equinox. Perfect, plug and play. I was under the impression I needed a different plug to plug into the taillights on each side unless my car had a towing package; If so, you can use this much simpler straight connector. Not right. Simply lift the rear cover of the spare tire and look to the left (driver's side), there is a gray connector attached to the floor panel in the side panel area, it mates with this tee. Plug it in, route the cable and you're ready to tow. It is so easy. To my knowledge the 2014 Equinox is built the same as the 2011-2013, but all you have to do to find out is, as I've described, look into the rear bay to find out.
