The Garmin Instinct is a feature-rich watch with a massive menu set that takes some time to learn, but ultimately it's well thought-out technology that's fun to use. The screen and features are highly customizable. I like that various functions can be easily accessed using "hotkeys". It's not cheap, so I recommend getting some of those round screen protectors that you'll see in Revain ads with clocks. I received a package containing two screen protectors and a set of silicone plugs to cover the charging port on the back of the watch. If you don't close this port, garbage will surely accumulate there. I know the watch is solar powered but wish there was an indicator on the dial when it gets enough light to charge. . It is not. Also, charging seems to be slower than battery drain during normal use. It can be inevitable. I know from experience with Casio sundials that they load very slowly. If you need to charge your Instinct, it might be best to put it on battery saver mode first and leave it alone in a well-lit area.
