Review on 🍞 Cuisinart CPT-640 Stainless Steel 4-Slice Metal Toaster by Angela Murphy

We've had many toasters over the years and it was hard to find a toaster that toasted evenly. Some of them did well on typical, mass-market sandwich breads, but most specialty breads didn't toast evenly. It's good and even toast; Tested on multiple brands and types of bread. The lift handle and dark slide lever are comfortable and reliable. The "Defrost" and "Single slice" buttons work well. A few minor usability issues. But good toast makes up for that: if you stand the toaster on the long side, running forward from the back of the grate, the crumb tray faces the back, requiring you to momentarily turn the toaster to empty the tray. The "bagel" setting only toasts the inside surface of the sliced bagel (good), but the small image on the top of the toaster makes it hard to decipher what's inside the bagel. Not only that, if you cut open a bagel and immediately pop it in the toaster, you'll have to switch sides!
