Works great! Install as instructed on the outside of the tank, with rubber feet under the rim of the tank to allow airflow. Thanks to the thermostat, it regulates the temperature perfectly. I have it on the bottom of the tank, with slabs of slate in the tank, and it keeps it in the 87-89 range all day and night (tested with a laser thermometer, confirmed to be accurate to +/- 0.5 degrees ). . ) If you need an under tank heater, this is the one you need. You need a thermostat as it doesn't come with a pretty standard.
