Even with a thermostat, it's difficult to maintain a constant temperature. I have purchased Zoo-Med products from both my local exotic animal store and Amazon. I'm not totally unsatisfied however, follow directions, have excellent communication with my vet and pet shop, I know the enclosure is suitable but I've spent the last 48 hours without sleep to make sure my turtle is safe and the temperature is right. I liked that one of the heating mats worked, but the others stopped working shortly after I put them on my second gecko enclosure. I haven't had my Gecko in a month and I bought the 2 pack because I already knew I needed a heat mat for my Next Gecko and even a month after I put it on her body it stopped working and the return window is closed closed since June 2nd. The heater works great and has made our gecko much more comfortable. Placed on the warm side of the tank under its large skin.
