I'm updating AGAIN. I lost another one in the dishwasher. I think in the almost 20 years that I've owned this dishwasher we've only broken 2 glasses so far. Once I stuck one in and hit it, and another time something heavy fell down a bit and smashed a super thin wine glass. These heavy, supposedly dishwasher-safe glasses just CRACK spontaneously. I mean, I literally take care of them from point A to point B, also making sure nothing touches them on the glass shelf. I'm a pissed off consumer! ------------------------------------------- -- ----- ----------------------------------------- -- ------- ------------------------------------- ------ ------- ------------------------- Last update. 1 more cracked. I went from frustrated to downright EVIL. These glasses are wonderful. I loved them so much that upon unpacking I threw away my set of 16 identical Dublin glass water tumblers that I have had for over 20 years. I loved them and the ONLY reason I got rid of them was because I was trying to update my style. The stupidest mistake I've ever made. Not only did I lose money on those broken Libbey glasses, but now I have to spend MORE money to get brand new, strong, beautiful glasses. Oh yeah, I also have to expend MY TIME and ENERGY starting from scratch chasing those new glasses I need to buy. (You could say I even tried switching my dishwasher from the hottest sanitary wash to a regular wash. I also turned off the heated dryer. Both to keep the water from getting that hot. Broken glasses safely in the Dishwasher should be washed.) ._________________________________________________________________________________________________ Update number one. This is a FAIL on all sides, uh, FIRST wash and two more came out with a tear. Not a crack, but a crack. It turned out that 4 glasses were missing due to cracks and I have just received them. I shoot stars every time I get a new batch of cracks. that's ridiculous. It's even more ridiculous that I ran out of money and I still say it's completely unfair I have to jump through hoops to get a refund or a replacement or whatever. I'm a hard working person, tired and honestly not worth the money to take a picture and find the package, wrap it up, go back and forth in the mail and mail this mess and then wait for someone decides if he will accept them and give me my money back. I prefer to join the group of those who only talk about the problem. I made a big mistake thinking that the good voices outweigh the bad. Libby needs to stand up and just take them off the market or admit the description EVERYWHERE they sell them and just SAY they are fragile. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Original rating. I would definitely give them 5 stars. They are very sweet. I like the nubbed areas which make it very easy to hold securely. I love heavy floors. They also came a day early which was a bonus. BUT. Arrived with 2 cracked Rox glasses. To be honest, I didn't even bother dancing with the seller for a spare because I'm too old and too tired to jump through hoops, take photos and transfer them to my computer to .yada yada yada to send. SO. I would recommend .YEP. you are good I'm just not happy about the arrival of the cracked ones.
