Bought the matte black version of this faucet and drain combo. Installed at the end of April when renovating the bathroom in our house. It's August 7th today and I was about to clean our sink and I barely wiped the drain cap and the 'matte black' finish had peeled off and the pouf now magically has a new chic polished chrome color. I've noticed that over the past few weeks the paint on the surface has started to blister, but I didn't understand what the problem really was. It is nothing but a painted, polished chrome or brushed nickel finish. If it had been painted black like it was supposed to, this would never have happened. The cheap generic on Revain quickly takes over, be aware if you're paying what you think is a good price for things like this. If it's too good to be true, it's probably rubbish.
