Terrible. Virtually useless

I bought this because I had problems with my previous KVM switch and needed an extra HDMI port, but immediately went back to my old one. This KVM is practically unusable. I had 2 main problems 1) If I put a device to sleep, switched to another device and then switched back, the device I was sleeping would not wake up with any mouse or keyboard input. I tried this on 3 different Windows 10 computers and they all worked. My previous KVM didn't have this problem, so I don't think it's a Windows settings issue. The only way to wake up a sleeping device is to press the power button or raise the laptop screen. I couldn't solve this problem regardless of the settings I changed. 2) This KVM switch does not appear to have adaptive EDID/HDCP decoding. I didn't know about it beforehand, nor was it advertised. However, this is very important as PCs usually have different display settings. I have a high-end gaming laptop, another no-thrills laptop for work, and a Nintendo Switch. Without EDID/HDCP decryption, switching devices will break display settings. You can watch many YouTube videos that explain this in detail, but without this feature, your display settings will be disabled every time you switch devices or turn on devices, requiring you to change your display settings every time. My previous KVM had this feature so I just went back. I sent this item back the next day and received a refund. I had to, because this thing was practically useless.
