Reviews about being too skinny are not true. Yes, they look thin and light, but silicone is a very good insulator. You don't need a lot of stuff to protect yourself. I assume most of these reviews are from people used to thicker gloves, but they are just as effective. Today I took the heavy pan out of the fire bowl and hardly felt it. The colors and shapes are fun and very easy to clean. The only downside is that they aren't deep enough to cover the palm of a normal sized hand. . This is normal for light things. But for more serious things that require your whole hand, this can be a problem. I won't say I definitely followed my fiancé around the house pretending my hand was a shark, but I did. She ran outside and when I followed her she hosed me down so maybe don't do that. Given the price and the quality you get in return I have no hesitation in recommending them.
