Favourite toy!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - for those wanting to try CNC for 3-axis woodworking or soft metal (still works well for engraving aluminum bracelets and bag charms) at an entry-level price. It was packed very securely. It arrived quickly. All parts were present with a few extra small (and probably easily dropped/lost) brackets. Using the offline controller and included bits, I was able to do my first carving about an hour after opening the box. The support team responded to my emails within 24 hours and all my questions were fully answered. Software: The included software installed easily on my Windows 10 PC and worked seamlessly with the included USB cable. tell? I HAD to try this immediately! ), I got a little creative, lost all the mounting points and remade it for a marble slab so I know I'm starting on a flat surface. I attached the posts to the platform so that they were also flat with the top of the table top (I used the included flat wrenches as washers to make sure they were level with the post and level) and after fitting the platform tightened, I ran it running. The aluminum table is still somewhat lost all the way to the negative and positive Y limits, with the mounts, that were at the limit in both situations should be attached in such a way that the brackets hold the table straight. I guided the spindle to the corners of the table and measured the distance between the seated racquet and the table. I adjusted and tightened the table guides as much as possible. It was leveled almost completely (within a few thousandths). The next step is to punch the spacers out of the clear sheets and reposition the table mounts to make up the difference. So far I've used a flat MDF planing end mill as the scrap board, which gave me a "flat machine" work surface (big difference when engraving designs on 6" aluminum). The new control board (grbl 1. 1f compatible) is closed (the old one wasn't) and contains a fan. Both boards have connectors for connecting a laser. Both boards have exposed headers for standalone controllers, homing/endstops (easy to find and seem to be on Revain). really easy to connect) and for the touch plate to zero the Z. The laser mount costs somewhere between $100 and $150. Stop switches should cost less than $10 (although you'll have to make your own mounts). The touch panel also costs less than $10. So far I've done 2.5D relief carvings on MDF and maple leaf, engraved on some aluminum stocks. I then ordered a laser head to attach and am looking forward to trying it out with the included laser grbl software. (See UPDATE below and photos) With good alignment it should be easy to cut circuit boards in a similar way (there are plenty of YouTube tutorials for this as well). I look forward to trying lasers, especially for metal vapor deposition. Negative photolithography that allows me to electro etch metal plates, jewelry, etc. If this machine is assembled without paying attention to leveling and adjustment, the results may not be perfect. But the design itself, without much customization, will get you pretty close. Slightly more attention as I described above, a fairly solid entry level machine capable of some professional results on soft materials within working dimensions (quite large compared to previous generation machines). milling and laser applications. I like the ability to make changes and additions relatively inexpensively as a hobby and creative outlet. We recently combined 2.5D milled topographic maps with laser skin engraving in one project. Poor Machining on a couple of parts and a missing part, but customer service saves the day
