Review on πŸ”§ Starrett 93A T-Handle Tap Wrench: Premium Quality and Efficient Tapping Tool by Steve Hauck

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's the faucet handle that everyone else is trying to copy

Unlike hardware store faucet handles, these handles will hold your faucets in place without slipping. Do yourself a favor, ditch your old ones and get one of these. They are very well made and just work. I started by buying a 93A. This pen exceeded all of my expectations. As I was going through my faucet supplies, I saw that in this rage I don't have a faucet handle. So I got this 93B. Over time I will add 93C to the collection. These pens are so good. The beauty of the 93 series pens is the cutout on the handle that aligns with the axis of the faucet. This is how you ensure flawless tapping in your work with the spring-loaded hammer trigger. After drilling the hole, keep the workpiece in a vise. Insert the pusher into the chuck. The faucet handle (and the faucet itself) will be perfectly aligned. If you drill the tap hole the right size, the thread will come out nice. These faucet handles will last a lifetime. They are exceptionally well made and are a work of art in themselves. If you have one of these pens, do yourself a favor and buy better faucets. Buy them from (any) machine tool supplier, they are way better than 98% of the hardware store items. The fresh quality hammer in the Starrett 93B slices so thin it almost moves you to tears. Buy good faucets, they're only a few bucks more expensive, last longer and fit true to size.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • A dubious purchase for the elderly
