Only one of the two thermometers turned on at all. Not obvious how to find/open the battery compartment, even with the instructions.They and the packaging smelled like they had been soaked for a week in cheap perfume or scented laundry soap. And a lesser issue, given these, it was altogether too easy to accidentally switch from Fahrenheit to Celsius but much harder to get back to Fahrenheit (for the one that worked.)
