I thought I'd buy a cutter we call "Death Trap". I bought 2 of these as fun little gifts as they are literally the cheapest router bits in the universe and got back at my buddies who bought me a giant 3" router with a ¼" shank. The beats are actually a lot better than I expected. I figured I could drop one, get it to 30k and see how far it goes. like a projectile star moving at the speed of light. but it's crazy how well made it is. In fact, it's perfectly balanced. I expected it to erupt from the cartridge but it did fine. I tried it on a pine at 18,000 rpm, it's great. I then put it on my record smoother and it worked really well on hard maple. I ended up burying the drill and it removed a small piece of carbide, but that was human error. and a $200 bit would have the same problem. You will be surprised.
