I was trying to install a K&N cold air intake on my new 2016 Nissan Maxima. Care got stuck in the parking lot because the underside of the heat shield was preventing the car from going out of "park". I tried adjusting the height of the heat shield but the result is the same. If you remove the sign, you can go from parking to driving and beyond. The end result is that the machine works well without the shield, but not so well with it. The question is, is it wise to operate a vehicle without a shield?
