According to the manufacturer, these shock absorbers are 20% better than original equipment. I think it. They are definitely better than the ones I replaced. Very easy to install and they work well. I only have two complaints: First, the instructions that come with all KYB shocks are useless. (Luckily I know how to install them without instructions. Sometimes experience is everything.) Second, I wish they had more padding. These shocks are much better than the worn ones I've replaced, but the ride is still a little soft. I spoke to the technical department at KYB about this. They explained that this is because they design these shocks to target a happy environment of driving preferences. In other words, some people might not prefer the rough ride, which I like. Overall I would say these are the best shock absorbers you can find for a passenger car or minivan. If you have a truck or SUV, upgrade to KYB Monomax or Ranchos.
