I guess at some point I had to face the reality that quality electronics come at a price worth skimping on. The digital screen, lenses, attachments and the camera itself were good for the price. However, I wanted to use it for vlogging and have 3 issues requiring it to be returned after trying it. 1. There is no autofocus, no manual focus button, so the image is never 100% sharp (it bugs me because I'm a perfectionist), but it's not bad. 2. The sound quality is not very good. I don't know if it's just a bad output mic on the camera itself or a bad input mic, but I'll never know which brings me to the third point. 3. I couldn't figure out how to upload the footage to my MacBook using the USB cable that came with it. This could very well be my fault as I'm not the most computer savvy but I like to think that I'm pretty darn good at debugging the internet so it could be the camera. The problem was that the device didn't show up after I plugged it in, turned it on and off a few times, and checked my settings. Overall, this is a recommended purchase as a first camera or home camcorder, but my phone camera (and mic) works much better and is a free app on my phone, so I'll be using it until I can save up for a quality camera. .
