I've been using this machine for a few months now. i really like it It is relatively quiet, runs very easily and sews very quietly. I got it up and running in less than an hour after unboxing it. The settings are pretty intuitive once you understand the little graphical icons and what they mean. The buttonholes it makes are wonderful. Appliqué stitches are even and easy to select. I like that you can adjust the size. I didn't have to adjust the tension for anything and left it in the "Auto" position. The presser foot, which rises slightly when stopped with the needle at the bottom, makes it easier to turn the fabric. No need to use a lever to lift the lever so you can keep both hands on the project. The multifunctional foot control is my favorite feature! I set it to cut the thread when I push it from the back. This saves a lot of time if you sew a lot. I have an Etsy shop and am busy making cotton bags for drawstring projects. My new Juki saved me a lot of time and made sewing even more fun. I highly recommend this car. The automatic needle threader works well and is stable. Follow the instructions in the manual: line up the side of the flywheel with the notch on the machine and slowly pull the lever - take your time and do not use force. If you do this, it will thread the needle very easily. Other thread cutting points on the bobbin mechanism, on the bobbin case and on the side of the machine for the automatic threader are very easy to use. The automatic bobbin winder works fine, but shuts off when the bobbin is only about 2/3 full. Damn. Sewing a lot means you have to stop to refill the bobbin. The bobbin can be wound with a separate motor, but I have to stop sewing to do that.
