Bed risers either work or they don't, so I think they get either 1 or 5 stars. There are two things that are necessary for them to work. 1) You must be strong enough to support the weight of the bed and you! 2) The riser cutout should match the leg size of your frame. Many reviews indicate that these risers are cheap and break easily. I can't say for sure but they are designed to carry more than the risers I have replaced and used for many years. Maybe the design has changed, but I was happy with their weight and the thickness of the plastic. They also have reinforced ribs just below the platform. If you have wheels for legs I would consider replacing them with flat legs which will better distribute the bed's weight across the risers and help reduce the likelihood of the riser platform supporting the weight breaks. Another thing to watch out for is that you buy a riser for each leg. Some king beds are 6 feet high. Four at the corners and two in the middle of the frame to support the larger span of the king-size bed. If you only buy a box of four, you run the risk of either bending the bed frame or breaking the riser since you're only distributing the weight over 4 feet, not all 6 feet. I rated this one star based on other "criteria". They didn't match the legs of my bed. Of course they would be big enough for many beds. However, the product description clearly states that the hole size for these risers is 3" x 3". I made sure this was because my frame legs are exactly 3 inches long and most risers aren't big enough for that size. After cleaning under the bed and pulling up the full size bed while my wife and daughter set up the risers, I put the bed in, only to have NOT FITTED THEM IN! After the measurement, my suspicions were confirmed. The advertised 3"x3" opening is 2 7/8"x2 7/8". 1/8" is important because if the leg doesn't sit flat the frame leg will bend and break. I have no problem with the hole being smaller than 3x3, other than this product is not as advertised!
