Good but not great for US phone systems

I really wanted to like the CPR V5000 based on the good reviews and advertised functionality but in the end I concluded that while it is a quality product does not work well for US phone system. In my setup, the CPR V5000 was the only device connected to Verizon Fios phone service through the main (first/primary) phone jack in the home. A few weeks later I sent the CPR V5000 back. Here's why: when the device is connected in SERIES (using the recommended procedure shown for the US setup), the call blocker itself works fine, except that it did NOT transmit the caller ID to my Uniden DECT wireless telephone system. This is of no use if you live in a large house with several outbuildings. My wife hated it! So I set up the PARALLEL system (using the recommended procedure shown for a US installation and explained in several answers here by company rep Kevin and on their website). My phones now get caller ID information, but the CPR V5000 stops logging call information (which means you have to manually program numbers instead of being able to use the Block Now button) and then lets blocked calls ring once before they are turned off. . Very annoying and defeats the purpose of a call blocker! The explanation offered by the company as to why caller ID is not working on US systems is that it has a lower voltage than the UK for which the device was originally designed. . That may be true, but my 4-year-old Digitone call blocker had no problem transmitting caller ID information (Digitone is self-powered, which might be a factor). so i came to the conclusion that the problem is NOT the voltage on the phone line. Initially I wanted to switch from Digitone because the CPR V5000 had a lot more memory and promised a much better user interface, but in the end the cons outweighed the pros. encourage the company to offer a US-specific model. This can be as simple as turning on the power supply to avoid a voltage drop in the grid. If Digitone can do it, we know it's technically possible! I would definitely try the new model as the other aspects and build quality of this product are impressive. but in the end the disadvantages outweighed the advantages. Overall, this product shows great promise and I encourage the company to offer a US-specific model. This can be as simple as turning on the power supply to avoid a voltage drop in the grid.
