I saw a chef use Kitchenaid and a chopper attachment to make thin swirls of cold butter in a pie crust flour mixture rather than cutting butter into flour with a knife for baking. Fabulous! I tested it with this chopper/slicer to make cookies using the same technique. It was wonderful! Such a time saver. Then I used a cheddar cheese cutter blade. Worked great. I appreciate the brush to clean the blades while keeping my fingers off the sharp blades. I really like how the shredder/cutter is packaged - great parts storage system. Regarding customer service: the FAQ sheet states that you can get FREE replacement blades if they become dull and KITOART will replace your device if you misplace and damage the parts in the dishwasher (since it is not dishwasher washable ). ) via email with photos and your order number. The only thing I don't like is that the FAQ sheet is printed in yellow, the questions in white font and the answers in black. It's almost impossible to read questions with white text. Hardly any dissatisfaction. I recommend this device.
