Works Great: Garage & Shop

I have a mid height scissor lift. This drain was too high, so I cut both tubes down to the right length to fit under my lift. I cut off the end of the pipe with a lock nut and split the pipe to allow it to slide over the fixed pipe. I drilled a hole in the stationary tube to allow the adjustment screw to make contact with the slider tube. I attached the split tube to the stationary tube with a nut and set screw with a clamp. I now have an oil drain that fits under the car on my lift. Later I can cut and weld the nut to the solid tube and remove the split tube.
