I'm so glad I found this phone mount as it is by far the smartest design I've ever seen. I love that the base doubles as both a 1/4"-20 mount and an Arca style quick release plate. I also love that it folds flat and is so light weight. As mentioned earlier, the screw above blocks the use of the cold shoe The hidden cold shoe is such a fancy piece, it's a shame it comes with a big handle on the way. Too bad too because it looks like it can be avoided, either way a different grip design, or by lengthening the upper arm a bit to move the cold shoe mount further away from the grip of the shoe, and then screwing another cold shoe on top of it.Stack adapters can raise the mount higher than the grip and you miss out on compactness.Still it's an absolutely great piece of kit with one small downside that many people might not even notice but is recommended.
