I was very pleased with the quality and ease of installation of this faucet. Since it was only needed for the shower, I plugged the bottom hole with a short hose and plug. I wasn't sure what screw valves were for, but now I'm glad they are. If I ever want to replace the plumbing set in the future, turning on the water is as easy as screwing in the valves. They also make it difficult to wash out deposits. They also take into account the balance of cold and heat when you have more pressure. I left wide open. The only warning I would give to others is to make sure the mount that came with the kit is bolted on tight. If it is loose and the faucet moves, it will be difficult to access the two screws after installation. This is a well made product that is easy to install.
