Learned to weld with this machine

I work as a mechanic in a shop that does a lot of production work but I don't do it can't weld and wanted to become a more valuable professional. I also have a lot of work to do on my car project which would be a lot easier with welding. I bought this car almost 2 weeks ago. I had no welding experience, I had never touched a welding gun. My welder arrived and I read the instructions on how to set it up (it didn't have wire as written, I had to go get it) and just started practicing on the scrap I had laying around. I got used to it pretty quickly. That evening a friend came over and we built a custom exhaust for his Jeep. It looked awful considering I had been welding for three hours but it sealed and we both laughed about it. Everyone starts somewhere, right? I then took some exhaust pipes from an auto parts store and made a Y-pipe for my truck which required special work due to the lift kit and front driveshaft spacing. Although it still sucked, my welds held and sealed well, and this machine was still able to weld on my nasty, rusty exhaust pipe that I couldn't get to with a grinder. Just yesterday I was the only technician at work (we rotate on Saturdays and in my case I'm the only one there on Saturdays) and the owner's friend was building manifolds on his truck and couldn't attach the Y-pipe to his stock catback due to- for Cutting off the required flange to hold the 2 sections together. With 30 minutes left in the day, we had to do something or he'd be stuck behind the wheel with no exhaust. I told him I could cook it but given my weeks of experience it would be ugly. He says come on, I don't care, I just have to do it. I pumped up our welder at the shop and was able to weld it together with no problem and it left happily. If I hadn't bought this welder and learned when I did, we would have been in serious trouble yesterday. The affordability and high quality of this welder meant it was perfect for inexperienced people like me to get the hang of and learn the basics.
