We have Safety 1st Easy Install extra tall and wide gates and these extensions worked for them. Easy to use and install but I helped my husband hold the gate so you may need two people. It was difficult to understand everything related to the child (including the child). They seemed very easy. Once you put the ends of the gate into the extensions and against the wall, they stay in place. On the two gates we installed, we didn't touch them during the day. This seems to have helped them be very reliable (I think they stretch into the wall; at least they seem to be). Just make sure they match your gate. I was referring to the one we have above because the ends are round and match the extensions. So far they are working well and shouldn't leave any marks on the wall.
