Review on πŸ• Garmin 010-01685-00 fΔ“nix 5S 42mm Multisport GPS Watch - White with Carrara White Band: Compact and Powerful by Candra ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Wonderful quality, one hundred percent satisfied!

A few weeks ago, my Fenix 5s drowned safely after being kicked by another swimmer on the same swim (always wear your watch under your wetsuit!). Now switched to Fenix 5 (which are bigger). In fact, on the hand turned out to be slightly larger and heavier. After about a week, about the same sensations. But the main disadvantages have been fixed - the screen is more comfortable, and the battery is much larger. In general, if the size is not so critical, then I would advise Fenix 5.

Pros
  • A reference sports watch with a sleek design. - the whole set of sports functionality - running, cycling, swimming (including open water), power, tracking and a bunch of everything else. I even found kite surfing (true among third-party applications). - measuring everything possible - from the built-in heart rate sensor, steps while running, effect and fatigue after training to external sensors - non-fading screen - at the same time a long life on one charge - pretty decent smart watch functionality (incoming and event notifications, standard responses can be sent from the watch) - not as brutal and massive as 5 (my hand is rather thin) - despite a more refined design than the Fenix 5, they are just as resistant and durable
Cons
  • - still the screen is small for a watch of this size - again, the battery. Yes, it lasts for several days (including training sessions), but for long training sessions or starts, you should always check that the charge is full. If you are expecting a workout for several hours, then you need to switch to low consumption mode (Ultratrek). - sleep mode did not always monitor correctly
